Today is turning out to be a bit busier than I thought, so I’m going to do a lite write. I saw this hilarious post on Facebook put up by my friend (and editor) Amy Eye. I couldn’t resist sharing this lively bit of literature. Speaking of Amy, she just had an awesome interview up on her at The Unlocked Diary. And here’s the oft stolen post that made me smile today:
**The Hokey Pokey, in the style of William Shakespeare**
O proud left foot, that ventures quick within
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
… Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.
Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Poke,
A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl.
To spin! A wilde release from Heavens yoke.
Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl.
The Hoke, the poke — banish now thy doubt
Verily, I say, ’tis what it’s all about.
Thanks for showing off my interview – and sharing the Hokey Pokey!! I love the pic too!!! It is ADORABLE!!!
My pleasure on the interview… I enjoyed it! I confess to borrowing the pic off a free domain image website. I’ve gone so long without Photoshop I’ve gotten lazy. The Shakespearian Hokey Pokey was too cute not to pass on, Amy.
