Writer UtopiaAfter all the struggles and frustration with the iPad as writing tool set up, I think I have just about found the sweet spot.

A few choice apps, a keyboard, breakfast tray and headphones have helped me create a portable writing utopia.

The main app is Werdsmith, a simple and user friendly writing app that has just enough tools such as goal setting and word counts to make is useful specifically to writers, but not so much as to be distracting.

Today I tested my new set up out and it was a success. Pure, unadulterated writing happened and I finished the rough draft for a story I’ve been wanting to get out for about six months. I’m still tweaking the set up with a different keyboard I ordered from Amazon (cheaper, better reviews and back lit keys!) but I can’t see many more changes.

I think the new set up is a winner 🙂
