Today’s author is J. A. Clement who is celebrating her release TODAY of Song of the Ice Lord, the continuation of her fantasy series, On Dark Shores. Four winners will be picked with one receiving a signed paperback of Song of the Ice Lord, and three others will win bookmarks for On Dark Shores and free ebooks of Song.

I am so excited to start this series: the covers are beautiful and I know J.A. Clement personally to be a talented and dedicated writer. The fact that her On Dark Shores series has ranked high on Amazon since it’s release just shows I’m not the only one. Enter the rafflecopter below for a chance to win her generous prize pack after you read her guest post:

JA ClementHi, all. I’m JAClement – I know Angela from the old days where we all hung out on the Creative Reviews site, and put together the Christmas Lites charity anthologies (which is where you will find one of her stories and one of mine in the same book).

I say the old days – I think that was about four years ago, but that’s a long time in indie publishing! Certainly I had published the first novella in my fantasy series On Dark Shores but not much else. These days I have a few more, the latest of which is due out this very month…

JA Clement 2Song of the Ice Lord is set in the same world of On Dark Shores, in the far past. It tells of the rise of a strange enemy, apparently set on wiping out every living thing he finds. What is he? Where did he come from? No-one is quite sure. The full blurb is below, so I won’t repeat it, but it is a tale of love, loss and danger in a time of war, and I hope you will enjoy it.

By the time you read this, it will be up and possible to pre-order it. Links to all the main stores will be on my blog at

  1. Crystal – many thanks!

AF – thank you! I hope you enjoy it! I’m a bit nervous about this one as u wrote the story and then thought: those are some pretty big issues I accidentally tackled there…!

Angela – that’s really kind; thank you very much!

  2. Thank you! It was done by the lovely Kari Ayasha at – she put loads of work into getting it JUST right for me and I love it to bits! Seriously thinking of getting some merch done – just dithering whether bookmarks or something a bit more random like fridge magnets or necklace or something.

    SO pleased with it though!
