Recently I checked a large, hardcover book out of my library. I was excited to read it, but I wound up returning it barely cracked. As much as I love ‘real’ books, I think the convenience of eBooks have spoiled me. I’ll be downloading the book so I can have it with me when I do have time to read. My book borrow experience wasn’t completely wasted, though. I got a poem out of it…

  1. For me, it’s ebooks all the way now. I love my ereader. I love being able to adjust the size of the type, what font, etc. I hold my finger down on a word or phrase, and I get info about it. If I don’t like what I’m reading, I touch a button and can go shopping for another book. I’ve learned how to access Amazon’s list of top free ebooks from my kindle too, so I can always snag a new book. Years ago, I read paper books voraciously; but now days, I read ebooks voraciously. Even have my own book review blog now. http://www.facebook.com/jdspg3

    1. I’m with you Jaqueline – I really tried to read that book ‘traditional,’ but it felt ungainly and awkward to me. I sat down on the couch in the dark and couldn’t see the pages. When I had a surprise hour wait in a doctor’s office, where was that enormous book? Back home, taking up a quarter of my dining room table. No wonder I love my ebooks so much. I’ll check out your review blog…!
