Phone Keyboard DSC00022No more being tied to a writer’s nook! I’ve been experimenting with different mobile writing set ups and I think I found the right combo for me. The computer limited me, I could only work in one setting and at certain times. The tablet and keyboard set up freed me up a lot, but the iPad was still pretty big to tote around and it started being a shared item in the family. I know, I sound like a spoiled whiner. To me, your gear is important.

I was looking for the ultimate writing tool. Something multi purpose and portable. Besides a pencil, I couldn’t think of anything. Then it hit me – what’s always with me? My phone. I’m testing out different keyboards and so far the results have been amazing. Pictured is the ZAGG Universal Keyboard Case for All Bluetooth Devices-Black, available on Amazon. I got mine at Walmart. It feels wonderful, is curved and comfortable and portable enough for me to carry in my purse. The slip on cover doubles as a phone stand. I have Polaris Office 5 on the phone. The functionality is seamless.

I’m also interested in trying the iWerkz Universal Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard (44652BL)which seems ridiculously portable.

Now, the world can be my writer’s nook. Anywhere I am, I have the ability to tap out a story, a blog post, a poem… I am just now trying this set up out to see how I like it and will be doing my next installment of A Woman Walked on it.

Today I’m celebrating the small things, like small tech gear, with Lexa Cain!

  1. Hi Angela. I have a laptop but so far I’m still content. That said, I might have to take a closer look at what you’ve shared. Congratulations on that mobile world (smile).
