It’s Friday already?!?
Time for my weekly post to discuss what I’m celebrating. I’m still relatively new at this weekly group post but I am really enjoying it. For one thing, I get to end the week on a positive note, looking back on the past seven days with gratitude. One of my goals this week is to start blog hopping to all my ‘neighbors’ to see what they’re celebrating this week. As for me…
1. I’m celebrating that I found a silver dime this week. I found one as a child, and ever since I’ve checked the dates on my coins hoping to find another one. I’ve never used a Coinstar machine, but I had about five pounds of change in my purse I wanted to get rid of. My lucky dime was waiting in the rejected coins slot when I walked up… with a prayer coin and two pennies. Someone left me some luck, a prayer and their two cents ;p
2. A few weeks ago I was celebrating a visit with my old cat, Moffi. I posted the photo I took of her on Facebook and my amazing artist friend Robin Wiesneth made a painting of her from it. I’m so excited to hang this painting of my sweet old kitty up in my room, and I’m celebrating that I have friends with such talents. As soon as I get the photo downloaded I’ll share it (tech issues).
3. I traded up my phone a few weeks ago mostly so I could have a decent camera on hand without carrying the big one. Last week it paid off. Coming back from lunch we passed a man painting en plein air so I stopped, took photos and got the details. My boss loved the photos (and was surprised they came from my phone) and it looks like it will be our front page feature this week. I’m celebrating this phone and all the new opportunities it gives me.
Bonus celebration – I won free lunch at Subway today!
What are you celebrating?
Celebrate the Small Things: To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is put your name on the linky list and then post every Friday about something you’re grateful for that week. It can be about writing or family or school or general life. (Originated by VikLit)
