My favorite poem is The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. I feel compelled to share it this April in honor of National Poetry Month. Last year I found a brilliant artist named Mary Anne Leslie who does amazing and precise images that remind me of stained glass and holy places. You can see that post here or visit her on Facebook and give her a like.
This year I have found a new way to enjoy my favorite poem on a site called Soundcloud where you can hear all sorts of good things, including The Highwayman set to music and sung by a beautiful woman.
Between Mary Anne’s artwork, Loreena McKennitt’s singing and the words originally set to paper by Noyes I have the perfect poetical trifecta.
