Remember the old Kool & the Gang Song Celebrate? That is what’s playing in my head as I write up this Friday’s celebration post. This was a good week –
- Things slowed down at work so I had a chance to catch up.
- I got to do an interview on two guys, one blind, that are going to take a tandem bike ride from coast to coast. Inspiring.
- I have been looking for a little night table and I found the perfect night table left on a curb. Free is my favorite price.
On a fun note, my son found a perfect heart shaped chicken nugget.
- This last week, with my new (lightly used) laptop I visited everyone else’s’ celebrate posts to see what they were happy about 🙂
So much celebrating – there’s definitely a party going down ’round here!
What are you celebrating?
Today’s post is part of the Celebrate the Small Things Blog Hop hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner at Writing Off The Edge and Katie at TheCyborgMom.
Celebrate the Small Things: To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is put your name on the linky list and then post every Friday about something you’re grateful for that week. It can be about writing or family or school or general life. (Originated by VikLit)
Hi Angela! Now I figured out how I go lost trying to find you last week. The link on your blog comment goes to Blogger and there’s a link for dandilyonfluff.blogspot.com (as opposed to angelaysmith.com). It’s a purple-colored blog that seems to be about 3 yrs out of date. But on the Celebrate linky, the link comes right here. Whew!
That is definitely inspiring about the guys and the bike ride. You are so lucky to find exactly what wanted left on the curb. It was fate! Congrats on getting a new laptop and the “miracle” of the heart-shaped chicken McNugget! lol
You’re in so many social media circles. It’s amazing! Thanks very much for following my twitter and for hitting the button on Biggun. You’re awesome!!
Thanks for the heads up Lexa – I’ll have to see if I can’t fix that. My blog started on blogger ages ago and then I moved to wordpress. I’ll share you anytime and welcome you to Twitter – I plan to read Biggun when I catch up on my reading list a little. I love the cover!
Always did like that song. Perfect for today. I am impressed with the chicken nugget. Have a great weekend.
Nice nightstand! It looks like it’s in perfect shape, too!
It is, I don’t have to do a thing to it… which is good because I don’t have time to do much.
It all sounds pretty nice. Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks, you too!
How strange Angela. I’d just written the title of the Kool and the Gang hit to post on tonight’s blog when I spotted it as the title to your post. I’ll still have to use it though, too good to miss.
I wonder if you can remember that we used to follow each other on Gather before here. Something went wrong with that site and I was never able to get back in again. I met some nice people there.( obviously).
Congratulations on finding your bargain bedside table. I like the price.
Did you find out which one of the tandem riders takes the lead? It could be a very interesting journey.

David, I remember you from Gather now! I loved that site and was sad when it went down. How funny that we both chose the same 70s song as a title for tonight’s post – great minds 🙂
I found a nice wing back chair that a neighbor up the street left out with a “free” sign on it. You are right…free IS the best price!

You had me at heart-shaped chicken nugget! LOL! Not many people have had that experience in life!
Thanks for the smile!
