In Favor of Pain available now…

front-coverSurprise! To celebrate my birthday I just published my first poetry book, In Favor of Pain. I’ve performed many of the poems at local open mic events along with poems written specifically for this book. It finishes with Yesterday’s Bride, a short story.

In Favor of Pain is available online now on Amazon and Createspace. Copies will soon be available locally at Cafe Bienville in Niceville and I will be signing at the Yule of Yesteryear event Dec. 10.

I have to thank Bill Gent for having the courage to follow his dream and publish A Little Left of Pretty, his first poetry chapbook. I was privileged to help with that project along with Rachel Reese. His dream became my own, and I decided to release as well. Without Bill’s motivation, I may not have been inspired to publish this book.

From Amazon: Many of the poems in this chapbook will be familiar to frequent visitors of the open mic venues popular in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. The author has used the mixed medium of mic, audience and stage to explore poetry by performance. The result is a collection of darker poetry that speaks in favor of the inevitable pain that comes from living as it tends to polish off our sharp edges and reveal our better selves.
