Review: Tilda & the Tooth Fairy

One of my favorite books for children has become Tilda and the Tooth Fairy by Helene Lun Den Boer.

The illustrations are done by Helene as felt collages and have a charming, vintage feel to them. The story follows Tilda as she tries to discover what the Tooth Fairy does with all the collected teeth.

The answer is perfect for residents of the Emerald Coast and explains everything so perfectly. I loved everything about Helene’s book from the unique orientation to the adorable story of a curious little girl and her dog Ziggy.

Kids 8 and under will enjoy this book, and I look forward to Helene’s recently released second book, Long Live Luna. If you live in the local area you can find a copy of Tilda and the Tooth Fairy as it begins its travels as a Bookcrossing book at Cafe Bienville in Niceville. Finally, if you want to know more about Helene and her work, she will be my interview this coming Monday, Jan. 16.
