I’m Going to (Writer’s) Boot Camp!

I’m over the moon tonight as I just got my acceptance to the infamous Borderlands Press Writer’s Boot Camp! This writer workshop is legendary for honing skills. Many apply, only 20 are accepted.

Once there, I’ve heard, you are torn down as a writer, put through the wringer and made to cry tears of ink. Then you are put back together as a better writer. I can’t wait.

Plus, as an added bonus, Peter Straub is one of the guest instructors! Yes, THAT Straub. I could recite an impressive list of titles, but just look for yourself. I don’t usually like to boast, but I just have to point out that I will be breathing the same air, getting pointers and told what I stink at by THAT Straub, and others like him.

I’d go on, but I have a deadline looming tomorrow and a story that’s only 3/4 done. While I would love to sit and daydream about what wonderful writing horrors await me, I need to get back to my day job (which thanks to day dreaming earlier has turned into a night job) and finish the story I have due tomorrow.

Borderlands Press Writers Bootcamp isn’t until January.
