This is my last year to celebrate single digits on my blog-iversary.

This blog began nine years ago with a post about selling my motorcycle. I was liquidating my life so I could move to Australia to eventually marry R.A. Smith.

Last year on this day I was preparing to release Bitter Suites. What?!!!? As I think of all that has happened over the past year, I can’t believe Bitter Suites hasn’t been out a year yet… it feels like a lifetime.

On June 23, 2018 I asked the online Magic Eight Ball if I was going to have a good year as a writer. Eight Ball said “Yes.” How could that one word answer prepare me for all that was to happen next?

I just asked Eight Ball again if this year would also be excellent for me as a writer, and Eight Ball answered “It is certain.” Done deal, as far as I’m concerned.

Of course, that means there is a lot of work between now and June 23, 2020. Sweat seems to be the only way Eight Ball prophecies come true.
