Go check your contracts and let some of your previous work have yet another day in the sun. I send my calendar out every Wednesday, and this week it included:

April 14: Narrative seeks short stories, novel excerpts, novellas, poems, or literary nonfiction. Payment is up to $1000. Narrative does not charge submission fees during the first two weeks of April. Payments are $500 for a Story of the Week, $200 for a Poem of the Week, $250 to $500 for 500 to 2,000 word manuscripts, $500 to $1,000 for 2,000 to 15,000 word manuscripts, $200 minimum for each accepted poem or audio/video piece. April 14: Mirrors Reflecting Shadows: A Trevor Project Charity Anthology seeks flash fiction and short stories in all genres. “Outcast Press, Anxiety Press, and Roi Fainéant Press have teamed up to curate a charity anthology with proceeds going towards The Trevor Project. For over 20 years, The Trevor Project has worked tirelessly on suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth. We are open to most genres, including, but not limited to, literary, transgressive, horror, crime, noir, and speculative fiction. April 15: House of Zolo’s Journal of Speculative Literature seeks short stories up to 5k words and poetry that explore possibilities for the future with anthem of  Artificial Intelligence. Pro rates paid as defined by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA): $.08 per word for fiction ($100 minimum), $40 per poem, $75 for for nonfiction, $100 for reprint cover art, $200 for original unpublished cover art, $50 for reprint interior art, and $100 for original unpublished interior art.     1. Hahahaha! I actually thought that was their name! If you go look at the font on the header it looks like an “n.” I thought it was clever and cute. Now we know, that name is up for grabs Marge! Let’s do it—Eldritch Snores, anyone?
