I have news that there is “new science fiction, fantasy, and magical realism poetry magazine in town.” Called Magical Realities and edited by Kendall Evans, this will be a print magazine seeking speculative poetry.

“[Evans] has a special fondness for narrative poetry.   Thus, poems can be up to twelve pages long, hopefully complete with characterization, scene setting, an excellent story, and quality, poetic prose.  He is also interested in vignettes and short-shorts up to 500 words long, if they are told in the spirit of poetry.”

Submissions sent as attachments only to the editor Kendall Evans at sfastronaut@hotmail.com with the title and your byline in the subject line with cover letter and bio in the body of the email. First issue planned for January 2024. Payment not mentioned.

Thanks to Colleen Anderson for sharing this with me.
