Mamaz Felwitch sees life a little differently.  The latest artist up in the exhibit hall, Mamaz makes her virtual environment into a canvas to share with the rest of us.  Her moods play across her work, sharing her depth of emotion in whimsical yellows and melancholy blues.

Like a hunter of pixel butterflies, Mamaz captures her images and preserves them, taking them out of the jungle of Second Life to exhibit for those not brave enough to traverse the wilds.   We thank her for lending her vision to the rest of us through her exhibit entitled Unforgettable Places.  Please pay her a visit there, or see her work through the slideshow here.  Her images truly are unforgettable.

In her own words:

I first started taking pictures in Second Life to capture humorous moments between me and my friends. As I became more accustomed to the environment I discovered that it was a great avenue for self-expression.

My motivation comes from whatever emotions emerge when looking at a beautiful landscape. Sometimes I feel sad and the picture changes to fit that mood. Sometimes I am happy and the picture becomes bright and colorful. I am always amazed at the creativity and talent of the builders in Second Life.

It has been a privilege for me to share my work with the Second Life community and fellow artists. I learn so much by watching others and their techniques. What started out as a hobby has become my passion and wonderful way to meet new friends and artists.
