MarketShare: Piggyback with Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of mouth marketing companies like MyBlogSpark and Vibe Village are mini opportunities for tagalong promotions.

I was recently chosen to do reviews on Cadbury’s new Mousse Chocolate.  They sent me some chocolate to share, and then asked me to write a series of small “conversations” to share my experiences.

My experiences just happen to include the recent publication of my new book, End of Mae.  So I tied that in with my review.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying that my book is endorsed by Cadbury’s, but there is nothing wrong with attaching some personal experiences with my review. 

That’s what they encourage reviewers to do, put a unique twist and personal flavor on your opinion over the usual “this was really creamy” comment.

They win a unique review that is gaining them even more exposure as End of Mae fans share this funny bit of memorabilia.  I win because I can share a little bit about my book with people I might otherwise not reach.  Mr. Smith wins because he gets to eat the chocolate.
