I just read the most interesting article, Six Businesses You Can Run From a Tropical Island.  As I’ve been running around looking for a part time job this is an appealing idea.  The author covers ideas I’m not familiar with such as Search Engine Optimization and Freelance SEO Writing.

Mr. Smith & I make regular income from the internet on Second Life (around $100 monthly right now doing nothing) and book royalties (around $50 a month).  With all the moving and lack of reliable computer we haven’t had time to do much in either area.  Now that things are settling we hope to ramp that up.

I like the idea of internet income.  It’s money you can make independent of your circumstances.  Gas, kids at home and lack of wardrobe can’t stop us.  It’s between us and what we choose to do with the time we spend online.  Often my time is wasted, but I look forward to ramping things up and exploring new areas.

There’s going to be a lot of things in the works very soon.  I have my work computer back, and my daughter is due to get hers back early this week.  We have a book trailer to finish for Cambria Hebert’s upcoming book, Masquerade.  We also have an ongoing surprise that we hope to unveil this weekend to celebrate Halloween.

In the meantime I have a lot of catch up posts to do.  What happened with my Australian visa, what’s happening with the books and what’s happening with Ember will all be answered in the near future.  I’ll also be covering a lot more of the crazy things we do to save money and get/stay out of debt as well as share some of the awesome deals I find…. like how I got paid today to leave Walgreens with a $4 bottle of Finesse shampoo.

But that’s saved for tomorrow.  Until then, thanks for visiting and being a part of the Fluff.  xox
