For those of you who haven’t listened yet, last night’s Journal Jabber show was a surprise to all involved. Our planned guest wasn’t able to show up but Amy Eye, show sponsor and hostess (and my editor) was already planning to stop in to make an announcement. Little did either of us know that she was the surprise guest.
Fate knew what it was up to, however. Amy’s big announcement was that I’ll be taking over the show indefinitely. Amy’s work load and personal life have gotten incredibly busy (all good things) and she felt like she needed a break from the Tuesday night show. I’m glad to step in. I did my first interview as an author on this show and I feel like my books have grown up with it as I tuned in to listen to authors share their experiences in the traditional and indie worlds of publishing.
There are a lot of things just up ahead. Our move is done, our house guests have all fled and I am settled in to my new job and am starting to roll again. End of Joon, End of Jewel Eye and Mr. Bonejangles and Other Tales of Dark Karma will all be coming out within weeks of each other thanks to my schedule getting all bottle necked up with life events.
There’s a few regular features on Dandilyon Fluff now. We are a few weeks in to T.G.I.P (Thank God It’s Payday or How NOT to be a Starving Artist), Share the Love on Thursdays has been an immensely popular and fun post to do and now we have Poetry Slam Sunday which will have all sorts of poetry and events. Our first poet (other than me when it started as an accident) will be Frank W. Smith this Sunday. These events will start appearing in the schedule.
You might also notice a schedule has gone up in the tabs. This includes upcoming Journal Jabber shows, my own author events and blog events. Next month you will notice something called Iron Writer Challenge #30. More about that from me later, but feel free to explore it on your own.
And remember all of you who wanted to be on a street team, I was all excited and then you never heard about it again? That will be starting up as soon as I get the coordinator in place. We will also be going multi media here with some video features. Finally, be on the look out for an Indigogo campaign coming up for the End of Daze interactive author/reader project.
That’s about all I have to announce for now… but I think it’s probably enough.
