I have never once in my life ever considered being a model until the moment I stumbled across the Dead Chicks Are Cool site. I am in love!
Visually exciting, these models break the norms of the ridiculous manufactured idea of beauty that has become the norm.
True beauty isn’t something that fits a standard. It’s rare, dangerous and stirring—it’s unique. There is nothing breathtaking about a rose in a field of roses. It’s the individual flower that pops up unexpectedly that delights.
Each of the models that I’ve seen from my quick tour of Dead Chicks Are Cool are that… individual and full of surprise. They make me want to play dress up and with make up—something Vogue never did. Maybe, I realize, my disinterest in hair and make up has been less that I am disinterested and more that I’ve found nothing interesting.
