We’re in March already? Is it just me, or is this year flying by?
Quite a few of you messaged me about my cryptic Facebook post where I announced a podcast name change “for reasons I don’t wish to disclose.” Sorry to disappoint, but there is no mysterious drama behind it all. I just realized I was confusing myself having the channel and blog called one thing and the podcast another, so I simplified. Eight episodes in seemed like a good time to do. As far as the cryptic wording, I was thinking of J.D. Salinger and how he used to decline invitations by saying “for reasons I don’t wish to discuss or disclose.”
My highlight from the last seven days: listening to the incredible Kate Forbes read an excerpt from my work. She was amazing. It was a bucket list item I didn’t know I had until she began to read. If you missed that, you can watch that here.
Coming this week…
It’s boring to just talk about me, so instead of just listing my things I’m going to share all the events coming up that I think are interesting. I just have the usual podcast talk shows scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday at 2 pm CST. On Wednesday I’ll be using the pendulum to see if it can predict who will win the Bram Stoker Awards from the Finalist list. On Saturday I’ll be speaking with A.F. Stewart about how she has seen the indie self-publishing scene change over the last decade plus and where she sees it going. Find both shows on YouTube here.
Other magnificent happenings…

Thanks — lots to look forward to — and thanks for the Salinger quote. I need to borrow that one!
I’m positive when I first read that it was attributed to e.e. cummings, but I couldn’t find it again credited to anyone other than Salinger. I need to start using it more too!
