It’s my favorite time of year! It’s time to celebrate the 13 Days of Halloween! In years past I’ve shared poetry and short stories. This time, (and possibly as an annually) I want to dedicate this 13DoH to black cat awareness. October is Black Cat Awareness Month, and October 27th is National Black Cat Day in the UK.
To help kick this season off, I have a poetry reading from Pixie Bruner, one of the students from the recent Crystal Lake Publishing poetry class. Pixie brings her “truthquakes” to us all and warns of “possible cats.”

100% of all proceeds from sales and Kindle Page Reads goes to ARNO as a tribute to Anne Rice. It was the shelter she loved, and she frequently donated to their rescue cats program. Everyone donated their stories, editing, art and more for this project. Cover and interior art by Jeanette Andromeda.
