First off, I apologize for my recent upset over our stolen kitten. I was a mess over it. All day long I kept thinking about what he might be enduring and I’d start crying.
When the boy who took him was at our door he had a razor blade so my mind kept traveling to the worse places. Our kitten was returned this evening by the same kid’s older brother and sister. He was hungry and thirsty and happy to be home.
I am so relieved and happy tonight… we all are. Moffi, our older cat, has sat in the back yard most of the day wailing miserably. As soon as the kitten was back I called out to her and she ran to see him. Dante was so overjoyed his back leg was apparently insta healed and now he is walking on all fours again. Amazing how much attachment we all have to that kitten.
I also learned something about myself… I lie when I say I’m pretty unemotional. When it comes to kids and animals I’m a major crybaby. And a drama queen. I guess we all really do have our buttons.
Now please excuse me while I go join the fawning over of the kitten.
Congrats on getting the kitty back and what a great story for Adopt a Cat Month, which it happens to be right now! Hope your story inspires others to adopt a kitten and enjoy the fuzzy warmth they bring.
I didn’t know it was Adopt a Cat Month! He brings a lot of joy and, as you can see from my past two day sulk, he’s an integral part of the house.
thank God you got the cat back. I would be heartbroken if that happened to me. Perhaps this is the turn around date!
