July 1st marks the year’s halfway point. Many people use this time to re-evaluate goals and fine tune their year. Much of my year so far has been focussed on running and writing.
As the year winds down the second half I would like to do much more of both. I have new opportunities ahead, but that means I have to simplify other things to make room.
One area that is being streamlined is the Panhandle Focus. Beginning next month I will move it away from the more rigid, traditional news format and bring it here to this blog. The PanhandleFocus.com address will go to a designated page here where past issues can be downloaded and new stories and news items will be listed. The archives from the first year will also be available for purchase from Amazon with proceeds going to a local, as of yet undesignated charity.
I will also be teaching two classes — Creative Writing and Social Media Basics — beginning in mid-September. will both be taught on Mondays at Northwest Florida State College.
As far as running and writing… much more of both are needed but balance is something I need to work on. Rest and time with the people I love are just as important as accomplishments.
There are 184 days left in 2016. What are your mid-year goals?
