At the beginning of the year I made a goal to run 1,000 kilometers in 2016, and I joined Under Armor’s You Vs. The Year challenge. Tonight, I hit my 700th kilometer.
Since we moved I’ve struggled to get back into my groove. A few weeks I didn’t run at all. Last week I managed to squeeze in two runs in a week. The enthusiasm wasn’t like it was before. These miles were a struggle. My feet weren’t eating miles… they were plodding.
Now that things are settling I hope to get back into it. Making my 700k milestone is certainly setting a better tone. I’ve also started bring my dog with me on my runs and his enthusiasm is contagious. For the first time in a month I’ve run two days in a row.
Only 300 kilometers to go before I reach my goal and I’m still ahead of schedule. Now I just need to find where I packed my mojo…
