My husband, son and I have all just joined our first MOOC with the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
This free massive open online course, MOOC for short, will focus on writing about identities, communities, and social issues in poetry and plays.
Set to begin July 17, the course is called “Power of the Pen: Identities and Social Issues in Poetry and Plays” and will focus on writing about identities, communities and social issues. Registration is completely free for all participants. No writing experience is required. This MOOC welcomes writers of all communities and identities.
Thanks to for sharing this at Notes From An Alien last week. More details, including class schedules and sign up, can be found in his original post. You can watch the introductory video here.
UPDATE: I’ve made a Facebook group page so all us MOOCers can get together, share and motivate each other. Like the class, it’s free and open to all. Join the Word Smith Facebook group here.
You’re performing an important social service with this post & I predict a wonderful time for you, your son, and husband 🙂
Your blog (nfaa.wordpress.com) is an important social service, thank you so much for sharing it first!
