How much can change in a week? In my experience, everything. Last Friday I was stumbling into the weekend stressed out and upset. I felt like a spin-top on its final rotations ready to careen off into the sunset.
A week later I feel more like myself. I’m getting the hang of my new duties to the point of feeling confident… somewhat. I’ve been able dig back into my reading pile and finish off and review two books this week. I no longer feel like my heart is pounding the inside of my chest trying to break free of this madness.
Today I’m celebrating peace and survival…. and survival not in pieces. I’m celebrating cats that have traveled on to new places we can’t yet follow and catching up with good friends. I’m celebrating life knowing that there is always hope for brighter times ahead as long as we keep moving forward. I’m celebrating that I can celebrate.
Today’s post is part of the Celebrate the Small Things Blog Hop hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner at Writing Off The Edge and Katie at TheCyborgMom. To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is put your name on the linky list and then post every Friday about something you’re grateful for that week. It can be about writing or family or school or general life. (Originated by VikLit)
I like the “celebrating that I can celebrate.” How true for all of us.
I’m sorry that last week was so stressful for you. At least things have gotten better now – and I hope they continue to improve. Thanks again for the review! Made my day…my WEEK!
